HOW IT STARTED
After years of experience designing homes, restaurants, and hotels separately, three friends reunite to fulfill a dream of designing together. Based in Brooklyn, they collaborated with local workshops to develop furniture at the highest level of quality. Forces at Play’s debut collection iterates on implied motion and tension in static form. The result is a sophisticated, playful, and sculptural design language that dips one toe each in the familiar and experimental.
Hines Fischer is an award winning hospitality product designer and the Lead Product Designer for Goodrich. Prior to that role he worked in the studios of Workshop/APD, AvroKO, and Yabu Pushelberg. He has worked on projects for Stellar Works, Van Rossum, Kallista, Desiron, Arteriors, SA Baxter, Bernhardt Design, Parla Design, & more.
Ruoxi Wang is an award winning residential and hospitality product designer working in the offices of Rockwell Group and Workshop/APD. She has worked on projects for Warp & Weft, Kallista, Desiron, Arteriors, Janus et Cie, SA Baxter and more.
Chuan Wang is a interior designer specializing in high end hospitality. Previously she worked in the studios of Rockwell Group and Yabu Pushelberg. She has worked on hotel, restaurant, and resort projects all over the world.
